Esther Adams Obituary

AUGUSTA -- Esther P. Adams, 72, a resident of Manning Drive in West Gardiner, went home to be with Jesus Christ her personal savior, Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, where she had been a patient.

She was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Augusta, the daughter of Winfield and Julia (Stover) Howard.

She was a graduate of Winthrop High School.

On Oct. 24, 1952, in Winthrop, she married Donald Adams.

Esther worked as a certified nursing assistant and at Carleton Woolen Mill in Winthrop.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the 4-H Club.

Esther enjoyed traveling to the coast, her flower gardens and reading her Bible, and truly loved Jesus Christ as her savior. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, of West Gardiner; a son, Donald Adams and his wife, Paula, of Dresden; two daughters, Deborah Madore and her companion, Mark Barry, of Augusta, and Donna Pine and her husband, Fred, of Sidney; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
