LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Ms. Rachael Alice (Pellerin) Ladd, of Waterville, was born on April 9, 1942, in Waterville, to the late Luciene Pellerin and the late Omer Pellerin. She passed away at age 76 on April 15, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Rachael graduated from Waterville High School. She was a manager and bartender at Rachael's in Augusta and The Wharf in Hallowell. Rachael enjoyed being a receptionist at the Ladd Paper Company. Upon moving to Las Vegas, Rachael was a loving care provider for a family member.
Rachael is survived by her son, Craig 'Chubba' Ladd, daughters, Cheryl Ladd-Campbell (Ted Campbell), Melissa Hussey (Danny Hussey), and Rebecca Ladd-Johnson (Rick Johnson); sister, Carmen Valansi; grandchildren, SJ Hussey, Caitlin Hussey, Spencer Campbell (Laura Campbell), Kyle Hussey, Sean Campbell, Lars Johnson, and Allison Kay Johnson; great-grandchild, Keith Rivers Campbell and her former husband, Robert Ladd.
She loved and enjoyed being with family and friends and visiting with family in Maine. Rachael was an extremely special mother, sister, grandmother, wife and friend to so many people in Las Vegas and in Maine. She would lend an ear to anyone who needed someone to listen to them. She opened her heart and home to many people in her life. She enjoyed working in the bar industry; dancing to the music; pouring drinks and making people smile. She offered life lessons by modeling how to not judge people and looking for the good in everyone through rose colored glasses.
A celebration of life will be held in Las Vegas, Nev. on Sunday April 29, at the home of Cheryl and Ted Campbell. Another celebration of life will be held in Maine at a later date. Davis Funeral Home is handling arrangements, 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas.

Cousin Rachael and I had fun times together in our high school days. Our lives took us in separate directions after that but she always had a special place in my heart. I am sorry for your earthly loss of your mother. For sure, she is with you in spirit!

To the family of Rachel. My thoughts and prayers are with you. When I moved to Gardiner in 88 I got a job at The Wharf and then was sent to Rachel's . She taught me all I know of how to be a bartender and server throughout my years in food service. I have many fond memories of love, laughter and lots of fun.
