Madge Tozier Roodenburg Obituary
She passed away at 102 on April 5, 2023, in Gainesville, FL.
She married Homer Roodenburg on February 14, 1942, and they lived together in Webster, NY, for 53 years where they enjoyed cross-country skiing, square dancing and traveling together.
She graduated from Rochester Business Institute and became an administrative assistant at RIT and for several high school principals in the Webster, NY, school district.
True to her entrepreneurial nature, she started an Antique business, having been certified at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.
She moved to Gainesville in 2003, where she was a member of several Bridge clubs and you could always find her at local estate and garage sales with her daughter Barbara.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer R. Roodenburg, and her three sisters, Helen Tozier, Nedra Tiernan (Richard), and Gene Mack (Earl).
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Allen of Gainesville, FL, son, Craig Roodenburg of Silver Spring, MD; and two grandchildren, Rory Allen of Gainesville, FL and Sarah A. Prather (Michael) of Atlanta, GA.
Madge will be laid to rest with her husband Homer on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11:15 am Florida National Cemetary 6502 SW 102nd Ave. Bushnell, Fl 33513.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 2:30 pm at Campus View Church of Christ 2720 SW 2nd Ave, Gainesville, Fl 32607.

Praying for the beautiful family of the most beautiful little lady. So so sorry for your loss, but she's in a MUCH better place now. Always remember the fun, funny and good times. They will definitely make you smile. What a BLESSING it is to be on this earth for such a long time. May God continue to Bless and strengthen you all.
