Christopher Busby Obituary
ASHLAND: Christopher Andrew Busby, age 45, of Ashland, passed away on December 22, 2013 at Hospice House following a brave battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
Born in Canton Ohio on February 19, 1968 the son of Gary and Judy (Ferris) Busby. Chris had been employed with Bob Evans Restaurants for fourteen years. The last 2 years as a General Manager at the Hanley Road Restaurant in Mansfield. On January 25, 1992 Chris was married to Lisa Humphrey.
Chris is survived by his wife of twenty one years, Lisa Busby of Ashland; two daughters, Alexa Busby of Bowling Green and Olivia Busby of Ashland; his parents, Gary and Judy Busby of Massillon; one brother and sister in law, Tim (Kathleen) Busby of Port St. Lucie Florida; and sister and brother in law, Sarah (Charles) Crell of Massillon; he is also survived by his grandmother, Audry Ferris of Massillon; other survivors include, mother in law, Laura (Ken) Heyl of Ashland; father in law, Ted (Sheryl) Humphrey of East Canton; several nieces and nephews; step sister in law, Jodi (Chris) VanMeter of Ashland and step brother in law, Tyler (Jennifer) Heyl.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur Ferris and Charles and Florence Busby.
He was a member of New Life Community Church and enjoyed golf, exercising and spending time with his family.
Chris's Celebration of Life service will be held 1:30 pm Thursday, December 26, 2013, with Pastor Lisa Page Bosse officiating at the Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805. Burial will follow in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at the funeral home on the day of the service.
