Norma J. Hassler

SHELBY : Norma J. Hassler, age 83, resident of Shelby died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in Crestwood Care Center.

Born September 27, 1929 in Shelby to Glenn I. and Margaret (Fulmer) Will she was a lifelong area resident. A 1947 graduate of Shelby High School, she was formerly employed with the Shelby Salesbook Co. and was secretary for the United Church of Christ for 28 years.

Norma was a member of the United Church of Christ and the M.O.M Mother's Club. She cherished the time spent with her family and grandhchildren.

Survivors include her husband, William E. Hassler, whom she married November 24, 1950; one son, Jeffrey A. (Deb) Hassler of Jenera, Ohio; two daughters, Sandra (Paul) Stoodt and Shari (Doug) Dunn all of Shelby; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, James (Sandra) Will; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday November 9, 2012 from the United Church of Christ in Shelby. Reverend Bob Flint will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00- 11:00 AM. Memorial expressions may be made to the United Church of Christ or to the American Diabetes Association. Barkdull Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
