Henrietta Thurman Obituary

Henrietta Thurman

SHILOH, IL: Prophet Henrietta (Etta) Thurman was born on October 29, 1943, in Marion, OH, to the late Isabel and George Henry Taylor.

Etta left to spend eternity with the Lord on Friday, 31 January 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Etta retired from the Air Force as Senior Master Sergeant after over 20 years in the military. She also retired from 37 years as a civilian government employee.

Studying was something that Etta liked to do and she constantly pursued knowledge. She graduated with honors from Shalom Bible College with a Doctorate of Ministry degree. Believing that she was called as a prophet of God, Etta completed several years of intense study after which she was consecrated as a Prophet. She traveled and taught prayer and intercession throughout the US and Africa.

Her husband Joseph Thurman and two of her children, Wayne Taylor and Charissa Jordan preceded her in death.

Those who will celebrate her life's memories are a sister, Dr. Winnie Hamilton of Cleveland, OH; a brother, George Taylor of Pittsburg, CA; a daughter, ReFlaye Williams; grandchildren, KeNeshia Williams, DeOnte Williams, William Razor IV, DeVaree and DeVonte Jordan; one great grandchild, Legend Stewart; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
