Rudy Howard "Pops" Mills, 76, of Mayfield, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at his home.
He was a member of Pilot Oak Baptist Church, a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by two sons, Ross L. Mills of Mayfield, and Rex Daniel Mills of Pilot Oak; one daughter, Rachel Mills Emmerson of Norman, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Jennifer Byrd of Mayfield; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. His parents were Rex and Thelma Bray Mills.
Services were held Friday, March 17, 2023, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. Rev. Rick Walker officiated. Interment followed at Wingo Cemetery. Military graveside rites were conducted by American Legion Post #26.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Ste. 800, Miami, FL 33131.
