I was just about to call John when I wanted to make sure I had the right number. I feel such a pit in my stomach. John and Gwen were both such mentors and inspiration to me. Gayl, I'm sorry to have just found out about him this way. I hope you and Eric are doing well. Will miss the Farm so much. Still miss Gwen every day. ;-(

My condolences to the Michael's family. I was fortunate to experience the opportunity to have been a student of his. He was such an inspiration & mentor in my career. Always kind & humble. I loved his smile & passion for architecture, history, design, art, furniture making, and NYC.

Thank you, John, for your contribution to the architectural world. You were an outstanding designer and educator that was and will continue to be well respected and admired. But what really warms my heart and puts a smile on my face is remembering your wonderful sense of humor and your love of your students, piers, friends and most of all Gwen and Gayl.

John was a kind and generous person who was accomplished at the highest level in all that he did yet humble all the same. From sports to education to all aspects of architecture, design and engineering...he excelled like few others could. I was truly blessed to call him professor, mentor, colleague...and friend. Along with Gwen I couldnt't have vasked for two more influential people to be a part of my educatiion and career. You be will be missed dear friend!
