To the Pletz family,
I was stationed in Greece with Kenny in the late 60s. He was a good friend with whom I spent many a night in the "ham" shack running telephone patches to the states for the guys on the base. I remember him as a loyal, giving person, one with whom I was proud to serve. My deepest sympathies.

To Sonny, Janice,Shelly, & Faye, Words cannot express how sorry we feel for your loss. I could not imagine the grief you all must be feeling losing a mother, father, brother, grandmother in such a short period of time. It's uncomprehensible. I will miss Ken's e-mails, as I have missed them a lot lately, they were some of the wittiest, amusing, best e-mails I've ever received. I loved his idea of the Pletz family newsletter every month, & I hope they still keep coming. May all your wonderful & warm memories of Aunt Betty & Ken, sustain you all in the next coming weeks & months ahead. Those wonderful memories bring such comfort. Onve again, to Ken's family, Our deepest sympathy, Donny & Suzette

Dear Sherry, And all of Kens family. It so hard for us all. Ken had a great sense of humor. Iam glad we had the time that we did have to spend it with you. Iam so sorry that we have all lost a wonderfull friend. God be with you all, in time it will hurt less, but Ken will always be with us.

The young may die and the old must die.It is a sad event for those who loved and are loved to be left behind. When Jesus heard that his friend Lazarus had died the Holy Spirit caused the shortest verse in the Bible to be penned. "He wept."

Death was not to have been and so we must hope for the next life to meet again those we have lost in this life.

May God's kindness and mercy be with those who love and miss Ken. John Pletz

It was upsetting to hear about the loss of Ken. He enjoyed traveling the world and photographing all his experiences. I met him in Study hall at Allen H.S. many years ago and we've kept in contact with e-mails over the years. I'll miss those e-mails.
