Margaret S. Kovacs
Margaret S. Kovacs, 94, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, January 29, 2006, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was born January 24, 1912, in Bethlehem, a daughter of the late Frank and Louisa (Bartholovitch) Spirk. She was the wife of the late Stephen Kovacs. She was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church, Bethlehem, as well as its Sodality, and a former member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She was a member of the Fountain Hill Beneficial Society. She was employed by the Laros Store and the Holtz Company. She will be lovingly remembered by a daughter, Louise, wife of Dr. Robert E. Wisser of Bethlehem, sister, Elsie Spirk of Fountain Hill, brother, John Spirk of Bethlehem, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Frank Spirk and Joseph Spirk. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006, Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem. Call 8:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St., Bethlehem, PA 18018, St. Annes Catholic Church, PA 18017, or to a charity of choice.

It was a pleasure being your Eucharistic Minister Margaret. You were always full of life and always had a friendly smile to offer. I am glad I got to know you, and visited with you both at your house and at the Nursing Home. You will be missed; but you are now in a better place. Rest in peace!
