Seymour Gilgoff
Seymour Gilgoff, 89, died October 27, 2012 at his sons home in Breinigsville. He was born on January 22, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Solomon and Mary Gilgoff. He was the husband of Marion Gilgoff who died in 1986. An Army veteran, he served in England during WWII. He first worked with his brother Max Gilgoff at New York Hypo. He retired from the City of New York as an administrator in the Medicaid Program. He was a prolific folk artist and worked in many mediums. He had a sense of humor, was devoted to his family and enjoyed various sports. Survivors: Son, David Gilgoff and wife Elizabeth; daughter, Mary Beth Gilgoff; grandsons, Benjamin Gilgoff and wife Dalia, Daniel Gilgoff and wife Rebecca and Joshua Gilgoff; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Nicholas, Isaac and Elizabeth. Services: Graveside Service will be held in New York. Information is available from Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown, PA. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Child Care Information Services, Inc. or Valley Youth House.
