Sheila A. Fasching

67 years of age and a resident of Las Vegas, NV passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2021. She was born in Lehighton, PA and was the daughter of John and Rosa (Kronwitter) Fasching. Before moving to Las Vegas in 1982, she was a graduate of Whitehall High School (class of 1971) and moved on to study Education at East Stroudsburg University. Sheila began her teaching career at Whitehall and was also a cheerleading coach for the high school. Her career continued when she made the move to the West Coast where she was an elementary teacher in the Clark County, NV school district. Outside of work, Sheila was creative and crafty, often referred to as Mrs. MacGyver. She had a funny sense of humor, great fashion sense and liked to have fun. Her love for her dogs was infinite, and they were often dressed up for holidays and other occasions. She enjoyed taking her rescue dog, Herbert, and her Maltese, Harry, to the dog park near her home.

Sheila will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, John and Rosa (Kronwitter) Fasching; sister, Lisa (Fasching) Strella and her husband Steve; nephew, Stephen Strella III, his wife Megan and daughters Eve and Cora; niece, Jade (Strella) Glose, her husband Nate and son Madden; and extended family who were not only family but forever friends.

Services officiated by Rev. Martha S. Sipe will be 11:00 am Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Saint John's Ev. Lutheran Church 835 Third Street, Whitehall, PA 18052, where her family will receive guests starting at 10:00 am. Properly worn facial coverings and social distancing will be required at all time in the Church. Interment will follow in Laurel Cemetery, Whitehall.
