David Goins Obituary

David Ellis Goins, 66, passed away August 6, 2017. He was born January 31, 1951 in Woodlake, CA, to Brewster and Ruth Goins. David later moved with his family to Los Banos, CA. It was here that he had his three children and built lifelong friendships. Later in life, David relocated to the Laughlin, NV area, where he resided until his passing.
David was a proud father and a loyal friend. He worked hard and received everyone he met with a big welcome. David loved to be surrounded by life and people. He was strong and determined in everything that he did. He enjoyed sharing his passion for Raiders football and heckling all those who didn't agree. His children are blessed to have the laughter from shared times that they will remember him by.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Brewster Goins, as well as a brother Troy Warren. He is survived by his children, Jason (Sara) Goins, Justin (Jenny) Goins, and Michelle (Anthony) Hernandez, 8 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. David is also survived by his sisters, Linda Church, Sharon Garrison, Lucille Dimmick, and Patty Lewis, and one brother, Roy Warren. David will remain in the hearts and memories of many extended family members along with friends who became family.
A memorial will be held at the Los Banos District Cemetery on September 1, 2017 at 11 a.m.

David will be greatly missed by a lot of people. I met him while working at the Golden Nugget in Laughlin, NV. After I left there, we stayed in touch on facebook and by phone once in awhile. He was a good man, and had a good sense of humor. Prayers and condolences to all of his family. He was proud of all of his children. May he rest in peace.
