Anthony Walles Obituary

Anthony Hillman Walles (Tony) After undergoing heart surgery in April, 2007, Tony fought, but lost, a long and courageous battle against many serious complications and set backs. He passed away quietly with his loving wife of 53 years, Lois, by his side. Along with his wife, he is survived by his cherished family: son Dean, daughter Karen (Mark Plaza), grandchildren Casey and Tyler, and great-grandchildren Owen and MicKensie. His family was always his first priority in life. He also leaves behind his loving sisters Marguerite Paternoster of Clifton, NJ and Lois Carter of Virginia Beach, VA. He was born in Clifton, NJ to Marguerite Hillman Walles and Anthony Walles. Tony was a resident of Los Altos for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army and upon discharge, he attended Rutgers University, graduating in 1952. After working for Johnson and Johnson for 13 years, he and his family moved to CA in 1967 where he was employed by Germaine Monteil Cosmetics later to become a part of Revlon. He retired as a Vice President with Revlon with 25 years in the industry. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity and wonderful sense of humor, and most certainly for the many lives he touched. A memorial service will be held at Spangler Mortuary on Feb. 22nd, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony's name to: Assistance League of Los Altos, 169 State St. Los Altos, CA 94022.
