Resident Of San Jose
Francie entered into eternal rest on Nov. 22, 2013 after complications from a recent surgery. Born in San Francisco, Ca to Frank and Ruth Verdier. Francie was the beloved wife of James Ballantyne(Deceased.) Mother to James Cameron Ballantyne and cherished grandmother to Christina Ballantyne. Francie will be missed and her memory will be held dear by all who knew her. As a young child, she moved to San Jose, Ca with her family. She graduated from Lincoln High School and San Jose State University with a degree in occupational therapy. She was a long time member of the San Jose Swim and Raquet Club where she was an avid tennis player. She was a gifted artist and she was passionate in assisting the fine arts community of San Jose and volunteered at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts. Francie was a long time resident of Willow Glen and moved to The Villages in 2002 where she was an active member in many organizations. Visitation will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park on Tuesday, Nov. 26th, 2013 from 9 am to 9 pm. A celebration of Francie's life will be held at The Villages, 5000 Cribari Lane, San Jose, Ca 95135 on Wednesday, Dec. 4th, 2013 at 2pm.

While growing up Francie lived a block from our home on 3rd & Reed Streets.
She was a good friend and neighbor and will be missed by all. My wife, Nancy, and I send our heartfelt sympathy to James Cameron and family.
