Frederick Fischer Obituary



FISCHER, Frederick E. Jr.-- Fred Fischer, 78, of Paso Robles, CA died Saturday, October 19, 2002 at his home. A catholic service will be held at St. Rose Catholic Church in Paso Robles on Friday, October 25, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of his Life at the Quail Run Estates Club House.
Mr. Fischer was born January 30, 1924 in Springfield, Ohio. At age 17 he joined the US Navy and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor while serving on the USS Maryland. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 393 in San Jose, CA for 27 years and in the United Association for 50 years.
In 1984, after he retired, he moved to Quail Run Estates in Paso Robles, CA, where he was very active on the board of trustees and in the community there. He was a very active member of the Elks Lodge #2364 in Paso Robles for many years also.
Fred was the loving husband of Ann Fischer for 57 years. He is survived by his wife, daughter Fran Chadwick and husband Tom of Nipomo, CA, son Jim Fischer and his wife Joan of Morgan Hill, CA, son Tom Fischer and his wife Becky of Gilroy, CA, daughter Carol Wagner of Paso Robles, CA, son Fred Fischer and his wife Nancy of Aptos, CA, and 16 grandchildren.
Fred will be remembered for his courage, love of people, and love of family. He will be greatly missed by all. Instead of floral gifts, please make donations to the Hospice Partners of the Central Coast. Arrangements are under the direction of KUEHL-NICOLAY FUNERAL HOME of Paso Robles.
