Giuseppe Giannini

Giuseppe Joe Giannini Passed May 30, 2013 Resident of Pescadero Born in Jackson, California to Serafino and Martina Giannini on March 24, 1912. The family returned to Lucca, Italy where Giuseppe spent his childhood. He came to Half Moon Bay at the age of 17 with big dreams and a hard work ethic. He purchased a farm in Pescadero which he farmed for 50 years and became known as one of the best artichoke growers on the coast. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and many trips to Reno in his retired years. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Neves Giannini. He is survived by daughters, Martha Muzzi (Dominic), Julia Marsh (Bob) and Georgia Giannini, grandchildren Deborah Cozzolino, Bob Marsh Jr., Dominic Muzzi and Lisa Muzzi, great grandchildren Aundrea Cozzolino and Johnny Cozzolino. Family and friends are invited to Our Lady of the Pillar Church, 540 Kelly Avenue in Half Moon Bay on June 3rd where there will a viewing at 5:00pm and rosary to follow at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Pillar Church on June 4th at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Skylawn Memorial Park at Highway 92 and Skyline Blvd. As an expression of sympathy, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
