Mrs. Skidmore was my piano teacher from about grade 4 through my high school graduation. I reminisce happily about play-meets in her home or the library, Guild preparations, and Midland Music Foundation contests.
I can clearly remember the first time I was allowed to play on her grand piano in the living room instead of in the study on the upright! I treasure the gift of music apprepciation that she gave me -- lasting from Girl's Glee Club, Midland Singing Boys, MMF high school Gilbert and Sullivan Oprettas, through concert series at UM, to my present day dabbling at the piano when I need a pick-me-up.
Thanks, Helen -- you touched many lives in a good and uplifting way.
good bye from Carol.
