We are saddened by the loss of our wonderful neighbor's father. We have lived next door to Yvonne and her family for over 10 years and experienced her loss of both parents while her two boys have, at the same time, become terrific young adults. Joe was always a delightful and energetic guy and it is painful that Yvonne and his loved ones will not have more time with him in this life. Our best to all, Dan and Yvonne

My Special Friend: As long as I can think, as long as I have memory, I will love you and cherish our friendship. You lived honsetly, pursued goals and gave birth to original ideas. You created constructive thought and gave yourself wholeheartedly to tomorrow. I so appreciate knowing you, being your friend, and being "The Lady Down The Street. "

Thank you Joe for your love and devotion to the animals of Willow Glen who don't have a home to call their own. You made sure they had shelter from the cold and rain. You will always be their angel!

We have lived next door to Joe since November of 1995 and considered him a dear friend and great neighbor. We will miss the advice he would give us about carpentry and tools, and will miss hearing him chase after Gunner. The neighborhood has lost a spirited and generous friend. We miss him.

I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He and my husband were dog park buddies for many years, and we enjoyed his kindness and humor on many occasions. His kindness and generosity made the world a better place.

Being born into the San Jose Flipper Dippers, I knew Joe my entire life. I remember him being a very happy person-always having a smile, and singing! Thinking of him now, I see a man with a big smile on his face- what a wonderful way to be remembered. Thank you Joe for your kind heart and beautiful memories. You will be missed.

On behalf of the Wilcox Park Dog Group where Joe was the founding member and Silas was king, our deepest sympathy to his entire family. We will all miss him terribly, but will never forget his humor, charm and most importantly his friendship.

I grew up in the neighborhood. If Joe sensed on of the neighborhood kids was in trouble, he was one of those guys that would protect and make sure the bully didn't come back to the street. He was a great teacher and listener. There will always be the man and the voice in my mind as a reminder just what a man should be!

Joe, Yvonne, Lisa and Richard...our hearts go out to you in your loss. The "rocks" that have anchored our lives for so long are moving out of reach. Hang on the memories and the love, they'll always be there to tether our rafts.
