Charles Patrick McCauley
Charles Patrick McCauley, age 72, lifelong resident of Hibbing, died Friday, June 30, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth following a battle with cancer.
He was born November 21, 1950, in Hibbing the son of Bernard and Viola (Brekke) McCauley. He was a graduate of Hibbing High School, and went on to attend the University of Minnesota. Chuck was united in marriage to Kathleen D. Stone on December 16, 1972, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Hibbing.
Chuck was a Supervisor at Hanna Mining and then Minntac retiring after more than 35 years of service. He enjoyed curling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Chuck is survived by his wife: Kathy; children: Joseph McCauley of Hibbing, David McCauley of Minneapolis, and Andrea McCauley of Hibbing; daughter-in-law: Crystal McCauley of Minneapolis, MN; siblings: Patricia (Howard) Margulas of Hibbing, Barbara (Pete) Gambucci of White Bear Lake, MN, Bernie McCauley of Hibbing, Tom (Lori) McCauley of Detroit Lakes, MN, Rachel "Shelly" (John) McCauley-Jugovich of Hibbing, Diane (Carl) Hudelson of Bovey, MN, and Janet (Tim Degnan) McCauley of Side Lake, MN; grandchildren: Cole Herian and Townes McCauley; and much-loved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bernard & Viola McCauley; special aunt: Catherine Graige; parents-in-law: James & Mildred Stone; sisters-in-law: Beth McCauley, Kim Stone, and Carolyn Marcott; nephews: Ian McCauley and Michael McCauley.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Hibbing Alliance Church. The Reverend Kevin L. Norton will officiate.
