Robert Freeman Obituary

Robert Bob W. Freeman, 48, of Oxford and formerly of Southborough, died on Monday, December 15, 2014 at his home after being stricken ill. Bob was a graduate of Algonquin Regional High School of Northborough and earned a bachelor's degree from Westfield State University. He was a system analyst for Jacobs Technology of Bedford for years. Bob had a love for music and played guitar for the band Time Bandits, which plays in local venues. He is survived by his father John H. Freeman and his wife Mary of Centerville; a brother, John E. Freeman of Franklin; 2 nephews, Matthew and Joshua Freeman and many friends. He is predeceased by his mother Anne (Huether) Freeman who passed away in 2003. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 19, from 4 to 7 PM at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough. Funeral will be private. To Bob's Family and Friends,

I learned of Bob's Passing during the recent holidays and am still trying to get my head around it. I worked closely with him for many months on the SAMP project at Hanscom AFB. He was always a gentleman, funny and dedicated. I am honored to have known and worked with Bob. I do not say that about many people. As his home room teacher, Roberta, lamented, I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. I dare say that not many people can claim such a God-given quality. My prayers and deepest sympathies are with you all on this New Year.

I've known Bob for the last seven years from our band Time Bandits. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up a room. I am going to miss him terribly. There is such a void in my life. I loved Bob dearly, and he was truly my best friend. We were supposed to celebrate our Christmas this weekend and he was dj on New Year's Eve.that we've done for the past three years. This year's holidays won't be the same without you Bob. May we see each other again when it's my time Bob. I love you my friend.

I worked with Bob on a daily basis - we would have coffee almost every morning together - he was always committed to the task at hand; gave great advice; was as supportive a friend as you could ask for... he advocated for what was best...and was always encouraging.
