PIQUA — Dorothy J. Hatcher, 88, of Piqua, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, at her residence. She was born Nov. 3, 1929, in Darke County, to the late Leo and Emma (Treon) Marchal. She married Richard T. Hatcher May 25, 1957, in Piqua, who preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2009.
Survivors include three children, Timothy L. (Nancy M.) Hatcher, Tambra A. Young, Terri A. (Stephen) Riffell, all of Piqua; eight grandchildren, Kristin (Robin) Jones, Bradley Hatcher, Paxton Hatcher, Tiffany Hatcher, Justin (Jaime) Jamison, Jeremy (Kristy) Burton, Nichole (Gary) Langston, Danielle (Shawn) Starrett; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Barhorst of Ft. Loramie, Madonna Partington of Troy; and two brothers, Paul (Vera) Marchal of Versailles, James (Eileen) Marchal of Urbana.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas L. Hatcher; two brothers, Norman and Jerry; and two sisters, Cordelia and Mary.
Mrs. Hatcher was a 1947 graduate of Piqua Catholic High School and worked as a pharmacy technician at the Piqua Kroger pharmacy for many years. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her devotion to her faith and family. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at St. Boniface Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas L. Bolte as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. where a prayer service will be conducted at 4 p.m.
