PIQUA — Terri A. Kiser, 56, of Piqua, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Kindred Hospital, Dayton surrounded by her family and friends. She was born March 10, 1959, in Piqua, to Wanda (Cox) Long of Piqua and the late William Long. She married Gregory R. Kiser Aug. 2, 1980, at Greene Street United Methodist Church, and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Alisha A. Kiser of Piqua; a son, Kyle G. Kiser of Piqua; and three siblings, Tracy (John) Peltier of Piqua, Tim Long of Piqua, and Trena Williams of Greenville, S.C.
Mrs. Kiser was a 1977 graduate of Piqua Central High School and the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1980. She began her career as a Registered Nurse in 1981 at Stouder Memorial Hospital to be named Supervisor of its Obstetrics Dept. in 1996. She transferred to the Upper Valley Medical Center in 1998 continuing her role as Supervisor until relocating to the Hyatt Center in 2007. She loved her professional work with patients during the delivery process.
She was an avid coffee lover, enjoyed traveling, collecting books and particularly attending family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
A service to honor her life will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the Cove Spring Church, 5705 E. Walnut Grove Road, Troy, with Pastor Greg Morrow officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, 3131 S. Dixie Drive, Suite 313, Moraine, OH 45939.
