David D. Alves

David D. Alves, 73, of Milford passed away Mon. April 13, 2015 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Collins) Alves. Mr. Alves had been a custodian at Milford Middle School East for several years. Previously he had worked at Waters Corporation in Milford. A lifelong resident of Milford, David was born in 1941 in Milford the son of the late Antonio and Enice (Tessicini) Alves and was a graduate of Milford High School. He loved to play golf and enjoyed singing karaoke. In addition to his wife of 51 years, Barbara, he is survived by his son, David A. and his wife Christine Alves of Douglas, his daughter, Donna M. Alves-Stark and her husband William of Auburn; 5 siblings, Tony and his wife Margaret Alves of SC, Allen and his wife Phyllis Alves of Milford, Susan and her husband Dennis Guilmain of Milford, Steven and his wife Elaine Alves of FL, and Leslie and her husband Craig Burnham of Mendon, 2 grandchildren Nathan and Brooke and several aunts, an uncle, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter Lisa A. Alves. Visiting hours will be held Thursday April 16, 2015 from 5-8 PM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress Street, Milford.
