Maria M. Hunter

Maria M. (Costanza) Hunter, 69, of Milford, died unexpectedly Friday, June 25, 2021, at Milford Regional Medical Center after being stricken at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Glenn S. Hunter. Maria was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Peter and the late Eleanor (Lanzetta) Costanza. She attended Milford public schools, graduating from Milford High School, Class of 1970. She also attended Worcester State, where she studied cosmetology & hairdressing. Maria owned and operated Sir Joseph's Salon, located in Bellingham, for many years. She later worked at Special Effects Salon and at Reggie's Salon. Maria is survived by her beloved husband of forty-one years, Glenn; her son: Ian C. Hunter and his wife Adrienne of Milford; her granddaughter: Rosalie Maria Hunter of Milford; her siblings: Peter Costanza of Milford, Geraldine Christenson of CA and Lenora Costanza of Martha's Vineyard; also several nieces and nephews. Maria was the sister of the late Joseph P. Costanza, who died in 2020. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her Life on Wednesday June 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA.
