Edward Cossette Obituary
SEPTEMBER 4, 1931- FEBRUARY 13, 2022
Edward Thomas Cossette- 90 of Bolton Ma passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loving family and friends on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Edward was born on September 4, 1931, to Phillip V. Cossette and Charlotte B. McCue of Woburn Mass.
After graduating from high school, he went on to enlist in the Navy. He was stationed in San Francisco, CA on the Essex from 1950 to 1954 and served bravely in the Korean War.
Ed and Maxine enjoyed traveling to the Bahamas, Lake George, and Drakes Island. Ed was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time at the Racetracks betting on the horses. He was the Commander of the American Legion 235 and also an active member of the Maynard Elks Club.
Edward was a fun-loving husband, father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with all his family.
Edward is survived by his wife of 33 years, Maxine Boland Cossette, and her 2 sons Christopher (Alison) Boland of Sudbury Ma and John (Lisa) Boland of New Ipswich, NH. He is also survived by his first wife Angela Cossette Lee and their children together, Kenneth (Laurie- deceased) Cossette, of Barrington NH, Donna Cossette of Groton, and Kevin Cossette of Maynard Ma. He was preceded in death by his son James (Nancy) Cossette of Medford Ma and by his second wife, Jeanette Dame.
He also leaves behind 16 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at The Faith Evangelical Free Church on 54 Hosmer St. Acton. MA 01720 on February 26 from 1-4 p.m. A gathering for family and friends will follow at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maxine Cossette to help with the funeral expenses.

Eddie was my cousin, and I remember him fondly-I saw him at many family celebrations. He was so sweet and always smiling. I just did a search for him because I recently came across a photo of his father, Phillip (aka "Pitto") (shown in the attached photo). Pitto, who died in 1947, was the oldest of 13 children, and my dad, Lawrence Cossette (who died in 2010) was the youngest. If anyone would like to contact me, I´d be happy to send some Cossette family photos I have from the 1940s/early 50s.
