Nancy Kay Tucker of Burlington passed away peacefully on Nov. 28, 2024, at the age of 72.
Born Nov. 27, 1952, she was the daughter of Donn Dennis and Doris Naomi Cox Myers. Nancy was known for her vibrant spirit and her deep commitment to her family.
She was married to Jimmie Lee Tucker on July 25, 1972, and was a devoted mother to her four children, Eric (Trina) Tucker, Chris (Shari) Tucker, Jennifer Tucker and Brian (Wendy) Tucker; grandmother to Nathaniel Tucker, Chandler Tucker, Allison Tucker, Isaiah Tucker, MadisonTucker, Katherine Tucker, Jadaka Porter, Angeleena Porter, Klayton Tucker, Trevor Davis and Tori Davis, and was a proud foster parent to many children.
Nancy took immense pride in her role as a mother and grandmother, finding joy in the lives of her family. Nancy's warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her. Her laughter and positivity brightened the lives of those around her.
In addition to her children, Nancy is survived by her brothers Herb Bindel and Dennis Myers and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Doris Bindel, Donn and Lora Myers, her husband, Jimmie, and her brother, David Myers.
A Celebration of Life will be from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the UAW Local 807 Hall, 9313 Koestner St., Burlington. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
A memorial has been established for the Christamore Family Treatment Center.
