Barbara Gross Obituary

Barbara Gross, 50, of Hilmar, passed away unexpectedly. Barbara was born in Ceres, CA to Larry and Evelyn Gross. She attended schools in Turlock and Bishop, CA and graduated from Turlock High School. After high school Barbara married and she had two children. She worked as a waitress at several local restaurants. She was a good listener and ready to help when people around her had needs. She was a hard worker, had a quick wit, and often put the needs of others ahead of her own. Barbara enjoyed camping and fishing, but her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and companion David Dompeling. She is survived by her children: Cortni Holtzclaw, Tommy Baxter, and Avega Gross, all of Hilmar; two grandchildren: DJ Holtzclaw and Devon Holtzclaw; and three siblings: Greg Gross of Yuba City, Kathy Caudle of Sacramento, and Ken Gross of Turlock. Barbara was well loved and will be greatly missed.A Memorial Service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Sat, Jan 19th at 3:30 pm. Please leave memories and condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.

Barbara, You will be missed by everyone that knew and loved you. I will always remember Santa Cruz roller coaster and Magic Mountain trips. I will always miss you and it is with much regret that we did not make that last trip to Santa Cruz and Micky's Grove with Ava. Not to mention the many days and nights that we just sat around watching MTV and playing cards. Some of the best days of my life include you and your kids.
