Linda Oneth Obituary

Linda Oneth
May 16, 1947 - May 26, 2021
Oakdale, California - Linda W. Oneth died on May 26th, 2021, just ten days after her 74th birthday at Heritage Manor in Oakdale California. She was born Linda Wolf on May 16th, 1947, to June Bridgeman Wolf and Frederic L. Wolf II in Milburn, New Jersey, the youngest of three children including sister Barbara W. Wheatley (Deceased) and brother Frederic L. Wolf III. A native of New Jersey, Linda moved to California at the age of 18 after visiting her sister Barbara and Brother-in-law Tenney Wheatley while they lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. Never one to follow the rules, she briefly parted from her conservative family moorings and lived in the Height-Ashbury district of San Francisco where she met her first husband Philip Snyder, giving birth to her first child Tamara (Tammy) in 1968. Linda then moved with Phil to Southern California where their second child, Christopher (Chris) was born in Newport Beach in 1972. During this time Linda divorced her first husband and focused on supporting her children when she met Willard Oneth while working for the State of California. Willard and Linda married in 1978 and he soon adopted Linda's two children Tammy and Chris.
During her marriage to Willard and after his death in 1983, Linda returned to her conservative roots and regularly attended Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa, United Presbyterian Church, Danville, and First Baptist Church (Crosspoint), Modesto throughout the years. Along with a strong faith in Jesus, Linda worked hard to take care of her children, Tammy and Chris whom she is now survived by along with her brother Rick Wolf of North Carolina. Linda loved spending time with her family including her four grandchildren Macayla, Elijah, River, and Ian, along with her great grandchildren Samuel, Elias, and Adelaide. She also enjoyed travel, decorating her house, good food, and her dogs Sara and Sophie. Linda gave generously, forgave easily, laughed often, and said whatever came to mind, being sure to apologize if anyone was offended. She will be long remembered for her unique and quirky personality noting that everyone who knew her "had a Linda story". Her memorial will be held at Franklin and Downs Funeral Home on July 24, 2021, at 10am, 1050 McHenry Ave. Modesto.
