RONALD ALLEN BANKEN Ronald Allen Banken, 48, of Otsego passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo. A time of fellowship and lunch will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the VFW in Montevideo. The VFW will be open at noon for those wishing to wait for the family down there. Arrangements with Wing-Bain Funeral Home. Ron was born in Appleton on September 21, 1974, to Paul and Arlene Banken. He graduated from Montevideo High School in 1993. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being the life of the party in his high school years. Ron looked forward to muzzleloading each year with his dad, brother, and friends. Ron worked at Boston Scientific and St. Jude Medical for much of his career, and most recently at Bobcat in Rogers. In 1998, Ron married Stacy Hildahl and they were blessed with two daughters, Brynn and Brooke Banken. Special memories were made with his daughters whether it was hunting, fishing, or shopping trips whenever they asked. He spoiled his daughters with love and precious memories that they'll hold for a lifetime. Ron is survived by his daughters Brynn and Brooke Banken; father and mother Paul and Arlene Banken; brother Doug (Laura) Banken; niece Kamry Banken; and loving partner Debbie Wilmot; aunts and uncles; as well as many cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Elaine Randt, Paul and Margie Banken, Sr.; and great-grandparents Tony and Agnes Styrbicky, Robert and Marie Mulbhauer.
