Chaka Houser Obituary
Prattville - Chaka Shawnte Houser, 39, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away on July 27, 2018.
Visitation will be held at 12:30pm, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 501 Doster Road, Prattville, Alabama 36067.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Chaka Houser was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Johnny M. Montgomery Sr. and Roda Young Montgomery on December 2, 1979. She was a graduate of Prattville High School and worked as a secretary for Montgomery Area Mental Health.
Ms. Chaka Houser is preceded in death by Grandparents: Jimmy Lee Young Sr., Josephine Summerhill and Horace Smith.
She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and cousin. Chaka is survived by her 3 children: Tierre Corde Houser, Kahmari Ahlantis Houser and Niyah Sarai Houser, 2 Brothers: Johnny M. Montgomery Jr. (Veronica), Roderick T. Montgomery (Lauren), 1 Sister: Vickie Jackson (James), Parents: Johnny M. Montgomery Sr. and Roda Young Montgomery, Grandmother: Ms. Lula M. Young, 8 loving Nieces and Nephews: Aundrya Brooke Montgomery, Johnny M. Montgomery III, Jasmine Denise Montgomery, Roderick Montgomery Jr., James Jackson III, Tyler Jackson, Erin Jackson and Raven Jackson.

Chaka you are and always will be a beautiful person inside and out, and your spirit will live on. I remember us working out together and not only was Coach Dezmond a motivator for me and my daughter, but so were you. Days we would fall behind you would always push us....so we could go home I will always remember you and the amazing smile you carried with you. My prayers are with your children and family in its entirety that the Lord gives them comfort and peace in this time of sorrow and the days to come. Rest well Chaka
