FRANK HUNT Obituary

Mr. Frank Dixon Hunt was born June 3, 1938 in Wetumpka, Alabama, to the union of Lunie and Mary Opal Hunt. He was one of eight children. Frank began working at the early age of 10 holding numerous jobs including Coca Cola in Gadsden, AL and General Motors. He eventually began working as a Technician; building airplane wings while living in California. Later I life Frank became a pillar in his community. He honored his skills as an auto mechanic; serving his community and friends. Frank was always willing to help and teach others his skills. He was a self taught man with a third grade education. Frank enjoyed bowling and playing pool.

Mr. Frank D. Hunt leaves to cherish his memory: devoted wife of 46 years, Marie Hunt; five daughters, Bestenia Grady of Detroit, MI, Donetta Hunt of Richmond, CA, Elaine Hardnette of Gadsden, AL, Edith Grady of Flint and Francina M. Hunt-Conley of Odenton, MD; 3 sons, Demetrius (Lecretia) Grady of Stone Mountain, GA, Melford Winters of Texas and Alfie Hunt of Flint; 20 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cisero Hunt of Flint and Robert Hunt of Birmingham, AL; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, James Crayton, Roy Eichelberger, Bill Cook, Curtis Dunchan and Richard Adams.

Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas hunt; father, Lunie Hunt; mother, Mary Opal Hunt; sisters, Mary Frances Seamon and Lunie Merle Henderson; grandson, Malik D. Collier-Grady; brother, Stacie Ben Hunt and grandson, Rayman Asby.

The family would like to express special thanks to Cellie Harris, Hurley Medical Center 4th Floor ICU and 9th Floor staff, the staffs of Briarwood Nursing Home and Avalon Hospice and our many family members and friends. Hillside Mortuary announcing.
