Judith Rees Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Judith Ann Nystrom Rees at the age of 81.
Judith was born on January 31, 1941 and passed away on December 26, 2022. She was born in Republic Kansas to Russell Gerald "Rub"and Zelda May Millen Nystrom. She grew up on a 160-acre farm north of Courtland Kansas along with her brother Gerald "Gerry" and sister Janell.
She attended Courtland High School and graduated in 1959. After graduation she moved to Denver where she met the love of her life Glenn Rees (of Rifle, Colorado) and they married on June 3, 1961 at the Courtland Methodist Church. Work took them from Colorado to California where they lived and raised their three children. Upon retirement they moved to Mesa Arizona and later to Florence Montana. Judi loved her friends dearly and her family even more. She was spunky but always had a smile and a laugh to give. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn Dewey Rees; her parents, Russell and Zelda Nystrom; her brother Gerald Nystrom; and great-granddaughter Rilie Dillion Cox; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
She leaves behind her sister Janell Nystrom Morlock Burke; daughters Stephanie Rees and Staci Rees Wilson and son Jeff Rees. Grandchildren Brandi Winters, Anthony Fregoso and Erick Fregoso, Ryan Myers and Tara Myers. Great grand-grandchildren Haidin, Randall III, Noland, Myles and Jacoby and many adored nieces, nephews and cousins.
