David Palacios, 62, of Coconut Creek, Florida died unexpectedly at his home on Friday April 28, 2023.He was born August 6, 1960 in Lorain and had been a Florida resident for over 24 years.David graduated from Admiral King High School in 1978. He worked in ground operations at Southwest Airlines for over 31 years. Prior to that, he had worked at Hostess bakery in Cleveland.Dave loved to travel, detail cars, research information, listen to music and home theater entertainment. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends at his home where he was always the grill master. He is survived by his wife whom he's been with for over 27 years, Mary E. Palacios (nee Birovsek); dog, Zita,; father, Antonio Palacios; sister, Monica Pena (Mike); brother, Anthony Palacios (Laura Jones); sister, Christine Stanley (Gary); mother-in-law, Alice Birovsek (nee Fenger) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna M. Palacios (nee Bradley) in 2018; brother, Michael Palacios and father-in-law, Michael Birovsek.The family will receive friends Monday May 8, 2023 from 4:00 â€" 7:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Rev. Daniel Divis, pastor of St Mary Catholic Church in Lorain will conduct a closing prayer service at 7:00 pm.
