Joseph Leonard Obituary
He was born November 4, 1971 in Lorain, Ohio. Joseph had made his home in the Oberlin and Amherst area most of his life.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. Joseph loved taking his family to Cedar Point. His hobbies included fishing and playing video games. Joseph loved listening to Rock & Roll music and going to concerts. He loved his cats Carley and Charlie.
Survivors include his sons, Jeremy Leonard (Katie) of Wellington, and Joseph Leonard, Jr. of Elyria; his grandchildren, Raelynn, Leonard and Mason Leonard; his mother, Sandy Leonard (nee: Bush) of Amherst; his sisters, Cindy Reinhold (Albie Jessie, Jr.) of Amherst, Patricia Rice (Gregory) of LaGrange, Wendy Kapalin (Matthew) and Tammy Bentley (James) both of Amherst; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl D. Leonard.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 3, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. The Rev. Albie Jessie, Sr., will officiate.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.

As we pray for the loss of your loved one, we send our deepest sympathy to your family at this difficult time.
We recently moved next door and new to the neighborhood. Joseph being a friendly type of neighbor, came over and introduced himself. We would see each other often outside doing yard work.
