Paul A. Yetzer

Paul A. Yetzer, 83-year-old resident of Hillman, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 as a result of an automobile accident.

Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2023, at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman, MN with Father Jerry Schik officiating. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN at a later date. Visitation held from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Pierz and from 10 to 11 AM on Friday at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman.

Paul Anthony Yetzer was born in Milaca, MN on March 31, 1940 to the late Henry and Adelaide (Scherer) Yetzer. He proudly served in the United States Navy on the Ticonderoga Ship. Paul was united in marriage to Trady E. Halverson on June 8, 1968, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Foreston, MN by Father John O'Connell. They were blessed with five children and made their home in Brooklyn Park until 1983, when they moved to Hillman where they lived until death. He worked at Spencer Kellogg as a boiler engineer for 34 years, as well as owned Trady's Kozy Korner with his wife before they retired and bought their winter home in Arizona. Paul and Trady were married for 44 years. He was dedicated to her and his family and enjoyed being a grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather. Paul was a hard worker and he was an amazing selfless family man, always making time to do special things for each of his five kids.

Paul loved hunting, fishing, camping, and doing the polka with his wife. He enjoyed shopping and loved the farmers markets, and any thrift store. He looked forward to the time he spent with his friends in both Minnesota and Arizona.

Preceded in death by wife and love of his life, Trady E. (Halverson) Yetzer; parents, Henry and Adelaide Yetzer; brothers, Henry and Charles; sister, Anna; grandson, Christopher Stocki; and great-grandson, Levi Stocki.

Paul is survived by his brothers, Vernon (Carol) and George and sister, Marie Kampa; sister-in-law, Bernice; children, Wendy (Jerry), Kelly (Nick), Michael (Terri), Brian (Rob), Keith (Jane); 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren (with one on the way) and many other relatives, and friends.
