Connie Sparks

1942 - 2023

DELAWARE - Constance (Connie) Marie Sparks age 80, passed away peacefully in her home in Delaware, Ohio, Thursday October 19th.

Connie was born November 18th, 1942, to the late Warren S and Mary Cathrine (Katy) Crum.

After graduating from Cardington-Lincoln High School in 1960, Connie raised three boys. She worked for Stahl's and HPM as an administrative assistant and finished her career at Fiserv before retiring.

Connie had a passion for collecting antiques, particularly art. She could be found looking for treasures at yard sales, flea markets and antique shows. In her retirement she built an antique business she was very proud of, which was profitable and enjoyable.

Connie was a devoted Christian and heavily involved in church activities, sharing her love for God and people throughout her life. She enjoyed guiding young children, as she taught Sunday school for many years. She also enjoyed sharing with her Women's Study Group.

Connie loved her family, especially her three boys. She devoted her life to her family. Throughout her children's schooling she could be found attending football games, baseball games and other various activities. As her sons grew up and had children, she enjoyed watching sporting events and activities of her grandchildren in the same way.

Connie is survived by sisters, Janis Sharp and Carmen Crum. Children, Dan (Cheryl) Sparks, Roger (Julia) Sparks. grandchildren, Ryan (Dawn) Sparks, Nathan (Kendall) Sparks, Kurtis Sparks, Kendra Sparks, Madison (Emily) Sparks and Kellen Sparks, great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Ramsey, Anthony Sparks, Ariel Pendelton, Kendall Sparks, Atlas Sparks, Kinsley Sparks and nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Connie was preceded in death by her son Randy Sparks, brother Larry Crum and sister Sandy Haycook.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Donald Ebert officiating. Following the service, the burial will take place in the Marion Cemetery.
