Herschel Green

GREEN Herschel "HR" Green, age 80, of Columbus, died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at home. He was born on November 17, 1925 in Denver, Colorado to Herschel and Ida Green. Herschel was a lifelong member of The Community of Christ Church and actively attended the Grove City branch. Herschel earned a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kansas, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from North American Rockwell, and was a longtime employee of Union Cemetery. Preceded in death by his parents and grandson Jeffrey Wehr. Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Margie; daughter, Glenna (Ted) Wehr of Westerville; sons, Kenneth (Jody) Green of Reynoldsburg and Dennis Green of Vinton, Virginia; brothers, Dan (Carol) Green, Dick (Hope) Green and Larry (Betty) Green; sisters, Nancy (Don) Hedden and Barbara (Robin) Lund; 7 dearly loved grandchildren, Jennifer (Daniel) Brown, Scott Wehr, Jessica (Shane) Dalton, Cassy Green, Nicholas Green, Herschel Green and Melissa (Gary) Lafew; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many dear and wonderful friends.
