Jackson Herbert Lee "Buster" Jackson, age 58, of Midland, TX went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2023. He was born October 8, 1964 in Midland, TX to the late Hubert Jackson and Ruby Jewel Stephens. Buster, as he was affectionately nicknamed, was an easy going guy, who was loved in his community and who loved his community equally. He was a wonderful father to his only son Herbert Lee Jackson Jr., and a great grandfather to his 4 grandchildren. He loved to cook, clean and most importantly take care of his family. Herbert is preceded in death by his parents Hubert Jackson and Ruby Jewel, and two sisters Brenda Jackson and Anne Shaffer. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Lakisha Jackson of Big Spring, TX, his son Herbert Lee Jackson Jr. of Big Spring, TX, three stepchildren, James Long, Shakara Jones, Arletha Madkins, four grandchildren, seven sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends for viewing on Monday July 3, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Avalos-Sanchez and Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, 1502 N. Lamesa Rd. Midland, TX 79701.
