Ramon Bustamante Obituary

Ramon "Tito" Bustamante Ramon "Tito" R Bustamante, 92 went to his heavenly home on May 23, 2022 at his residence in Midland, Texas. Ramon was born May 16, 1930 in Pecos, Texas to Hinjo & Paz Bustamante. Ramon was raised in Barstow, Texas. He worked on ranches and farms chopping and picking cotton when he was young. Ramon married Socorro Porras on Sept 19,1949 in Pecos, Texas. They celebrated 72 years together. There are many streets in Midland that have his name input into the concrete for the work he did putting them in. He retired as a supervisor. He is now in heaven building roads with his old working buddies. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, watching western movies, the Texas Rangers baseball team and watering his many plants. He had a green thumb and could grow anything. Ramon and Socorro always had an open door for family and friends and never turned anyone away. Ramon was a member of the Holy Name Society and an usher at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. And last but not least, Tito always like to recite the Spanish vowels - (A, E, I, O, U) which his family loved to laugh about. At family gatherings after the blessing of the meal, Tito was asked what time it was and he always replied "Let's Eat".
