Douglas Harrell Obituary
Douglas Gray Harrell, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation in Mount Airy. He was born in Forsyth County on April 19, 1948, to the late Leo and Marie Cobbler Harrell. Mr. Harrell proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed. Mr. Harrell was a driver for Sealtest Dairy. He is survived by his wife, Carol Hinshaw Harrell; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Crystal Harrell; a step-daughter, Lisa Flake; grandchildren, Nathan and Kiera Harrell, Ryan and Nicole Harrell; great-grandchildren, Valor Harrell, Barrett Harrell, Roman Harrell; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and David Rierson; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Kathy Harrell; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Harrell family. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
