Freida Talley

Freida Ella Simpson Talley, age 64, of Pilot Mountain, passed into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Talley was born on July 30, 1958, in Mount Airy to the late Junior W. Simpson and the late Opal Eads Simpson. She had worked as a teacher's assistant at West Yadkin Elementary School as well as at Forsyth Medical Center and most recently at Lyndhurst OB-GYN. Freida was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to all she met. She was a faithful member of Friendly Chapel Church. Surviving are her sons, Alex Talley and Cory Talley, brother, Ferris Simpson and wife Linda and numerous cousins whom she loved. A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 23, at 4 p.m. at Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain with Pastor Ryan Whitt, Abraham Grant and Mike Culler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to The Gideons International, PO Box 481, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.
