Pedro Vargas Obituary
AGE: 89 • Perth Amboy
Pedro Vargas, 89, of Perth Amboy, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at Raritan Bay Medical Center-Perth Amboy Division. He was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico and came to New Brunswick, NJ in 1966 where he lived for many years before moving to Perth Amboy twenty-two years ago. He was a member of the Ross Engineering Company, Highland Park, NJ custodial staff for many years before retiring in 1982. Pedro was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in New Brunswick. He was a gifted guitar player and had a great sense of humor.
Son of the late Jose and Julia (Aldohando) Vargas, he was also predeceased by his wife, Carmen, (1993); his daughter, Emma, (1996), and his sons, Justin, Angel and Herminio. Pedro will be sadly missed by his 72 immediate family members including his daughters, Francisca Rodriguez, Juanita Dela Portilla and Amelia Molina; his sons, Pasqual, Mariano, Marcial, Emilio, Antonio and Ismael; his sisters, Margarita Acevedo and Maria Rodriguez; his 26 grandchildren and his 35 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service to held Friday, Dec. 23rd at 8:15am in the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, New Brunswick. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm.
