Charles Rosier Obituary

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. | Charles E. ''Bill'' Rosier, formerly of New freedom, Pa., Roanoke, Va., and Murrells Inlet, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the home of his daughter, Rebecca L. Rosier, in Midlothian, Va.

Mr. Rosier was born December 23, 1925 in Parkton, Baltimore County, Maryland, to the late Maurice G. ''Joe'' and Margaret M. Bollinger Rosier.

Bill and his wife, Dorothy, had celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary May 10, 2008. He was a 1944 graduate of New Freedom High School. Bill received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Lehigh University in 1951. Bill retired in 1985, following 25 years employment with Rowe Furniture Corporation of Salem, Va. as a financial officer. He was also employed with Haskins and Sells, C.P.A. of Baltimore. Bill was a 32nd degree Mason and a life member of Murrells Inlet Lodge No. 368, Free and Accepted Masons. He was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Murrells Inlet Post No. 10420, American Legion Post No. 0178, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 2797, and the Loyal Order of Moose, all of Murrells Inlet.

Mr. Rosier is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gene M. Mays Rosier: two daughters, Carol Ann Russek and her husband, Steven, of Oakland, N.J., and Rebecca L. Rosier and her husband, Dr. Daniel Schaffer, of Midlothian, Va.; one brother, Harold Rosier of Murrells Inlet; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Diane Erwin; and a brother, Donald Rosier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's memory to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.

Funeral services are at the convenience of the family.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I am living in Delaware at the present time but moving back to Shrewsbury due to the death of my companion. Margaret Rosier was my aunt, my father was Charles Bollinger. Wish I could be there for the viewing. God Bless you. Kay
