Edna Cox Obituary



MULLINS | Mrs. Edna Mae Lupo Cox, 84, widow of William Ivy Cox, Sr., died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 at Marion County Medical Center after an illness.



Mrs. Cox was born May 8, 1919 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Minnie Bell Lupo. Mrs. Cox was a home-maker and a member of Center United Methodist Church.



Surviving Mrs. Cox are her children; Maybelle Martin of Nichols, Billy Ray Cox and his wife Barbara of Mullins, Linda Hardee and her husband Wilbert of Fork and Ted Wayne Cox and his wife Teresa of Nichols; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grand children. Mrs. Cox was pre-deceased by a son, William Ivy Cox Jr.



Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Neil Hinson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
