A remarkable friend and musician who paid an important part in my life as his producer of several recordings and finally CDs.
A great artist and a remarkably kind human being. Our recordings at Buckfast Abbey and the Royal Festival Hall I will never forget.

In 1963-4 , I tutored the then Mr. Anderson in his pursuit of learning German for his Grad degree. He was such a great man and so much fun. I remember the evening that Louis Lane invited him to conduct a piece for the Cleveland orchestra. He was so excited. We applauded him.

I was an adult piano student of Dr Anderson for 3 years or so while Dr Anderson was teaching in his later years. We had such joyful times together while at lessons, he had such an enormous intellect in his teachings and the understanding of musical emotions of the masters. I am 87 years of age, had about 10 classical piano teachers, including teachers from the New England Conservatory of Music as a child and have to say Dr. Anderson was the best. There are many, many children and adults who will always have one of the most joyful experiences of creating beautiful music through their whole lives because of Dr Anderson. I was so honored to call him my friend.

Saddened to hear of Dr. Lenoughs passing. He will be missed and remembered by many. Our family was richly rewarded by his friendship.
Early years at First Presbyterian Church, Akron, Ohio, were most memorable. Eleanore Anderson, Mother, sang in church choir directed by Dr. Anderson.
I, a young and inspired connoisseur of many artists admired by Lenough, always enjoyed our encounters at his organ during countless, majestic, church recessionals. I am honored for him to have let me turn pages for him.
Moving to South Carolina in 1960 brought about an extended friendship with Dr. Anderson's brother, Callis. He later became my opthamologist.
i will cherish the CD's at Westminster Abbey well as the many the memorable encounters over our lifetimes.
Dr. Joseph Lenough Anderson, i will miss you.

I am so very sad to read of the passing of my old friend Lenough Anderson
I was his producer of many LPs and Cds and counted him as a friend and mentor for over 55 years
