Linda Tilton Obituary
Galivants Ferry
Linda Hardwick Tilton, 58, wife of the late Jimmy W. Tilton, died Saturday, April 23, 2011.
Mrs. Tilton was born in Florence, S.C., a daughter of the late Easmon Hardwick and Eunice Graham. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church. Mrs. Tilton retired from Sara Lee Hoisery in Marion. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Tilton's favorite hobby was shopping with friends, and her motto was to Live, Love, and Laugh.
Surviving are one son, Bradley Tilton of Florence; one daughter, Tabatha T. Brennick and husband, Dr. Chris Brennick; two grandchildren, Tony Tilton and Chris Tilton; one brother, Carson Hardwick and companion, Paddi Childers, of Galivants Ferry; one sister, Connie Hardwick of Galivants Ferry; her step-father, Joseph C. Cooke of Galivants Ferry; three nieces, Christy Sexton of Little River, Jamey Hicks and Jordan Hicks, both of Galivants Ferry; one nephew, Bradley Hardwick of Little River; and great nieces and nephews, Will Hardwick, Myatt Hardwick, Hayden Sexton, and Hayes Sexton.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Berea Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Jennerette officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family received friends Monday, from 6 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Linda was a friend to many. I had the honor of working with her at Sara Lee for 20 years. She lived her motto LIVE LAUGH & LOVE. She loved life and the people that were in it. Always willing to go that extra mile to help someone out. She will be missed by many. Her legency lives on LIVE LAUGH & LOVE

Wayne & I were so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. We have had her in our prayers & thoughts over the last several months. We enjoyed so much having Linda & Jimmy in our church family at Mt. Elon. We were devastated when Jimmy died so suddenly. We still miss them and especially Linda's smiling face. She always had a smile for everyone and such a positive outlook on life. May God bless each and everyone of her family members. I know you all will miss her. Also to Jimmy's family, we extend our deepest sympathy. Just look to God and He will help get you through whatever comes your way.

Linda was always the sweetest, kindest soul. She was precious. She reminded me of Aunt Eunice so much. I loved them both and all of you. My prayers are with you all. May God give you strength and comfort.

I'm sorry to hear about Linda. It was a pleasure to know her because of her outlook on life, always up beat and positive. We worked together at Sara Lee and she will be dearly missed.
