Michael T. Tang, 83, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in the loving care of his longtime common-law wife, Antonia P. Waltz.
Michael was born in Wuxi, China, to P.Y. Tang, and Kinmay Wen Tang; he came to the United States in 1947 and later studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Tang was a veteran of the United State Army.
In addition to his wife of twenty-one years, Antonia, Mr. Tang is survived by two sisters, Connie Tang Fong of Princeton, NJ, and Nancy Tang Francis, of Palo Alto, CA, and a brother, Oscar L. Tang, of New York City. Michael was married to Mildred Leigh, who died in 1995. They had no children together.
A private ceremony for the family was held on Thursday, May 26, at the McMillan-Small Funeral Home. He was cremated and will be buried at the Southern Palm Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Foundation for the Blind, 2 Penn Plaza, Suite 1102, New York, NY 10121.

So sorry for your loss Antonia. Mr. Tang was always so kind to me. He came to visit me several times after I left Coastal Federal. I will be praying for your family.
