September 28, 1954 - June 3, 2015
Mashpee
Robert F. Dillon, 60 of Mashpee, passed away unexpectedly at Cape Cod Hospital on June 3, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (Collins) Dillon and son of Florence and the late Robert Dillon. Robert was raised and educated in Medford and continued his education in Connecticut where he graduated with a major in History at New Haven University. He was a trainer of racing greyhounds for many years. He later moved to Myrtle Beach where he drove and dispatched taxi cabs. He recently moved to Mashpee to help his mother care for his ailing father. He had a passion for reading and was an avid sports fan.
In addition to his wife Michelle and his mother Florence, he is survived by his stepson Brandon Collins of South Carolina and his god sister Theresa McDonald and her two sons Dillon and Jack of Mashpee.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Jude's Chapel in Christ the King Church 3 Job's Fishing Rd. Mashpee on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at 11:00am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Greyhound Rescue of New England P.O. Box 507 Mendon, MA 01756. For online guestbook and directions please visit www.ccgfuneralhome.com.

a good friend thru college and beyond. we had a lot of fun together thru sports and with his crazy dog. i'll miss him. my sympathies to mrs. dillon and bob's extended family.
