Born: November 12, 1932 in Bangor, Northern Ireland
Died: June 16, 2021 in Ottawa, IL
Alan Clarke, 88, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
As per his wishes, no services will be held. Cremation rights have been accorded to Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory.
Alan was born November 12, 1932, in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Alan worked as an engineer for many years. He spent his free time volunteering for the Starved Rock Visitor's Center and he was a member of the Ottawa Garden Club.
He is survived by his son, Neil (Cynthia Sung) Clarke of Maryland; his daughter, Susan (Allan) Pavlick of Ottawa; and his grandchildren, Wendy, Serena, and Melanie Sung-Clarke, Karen (Adam) Shoelson, Michelle (Nate) Pavlick, and Ashley (Ryan) Pavlick.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ann Broadhurst and his brother in adolescence, Anthony Clarke.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Starved Rock Community Foundation or to the Reddick Library.
